We’re happy to announce that in addition to the live streaming on both days of the 2017 Amateur Long Drive™ World Championship we have secured one hour of live broadcast television for the ALD Open World Championship Saturday from 5 PM until 6 PM. WWMB CW 21 will air the Open World Championship with production from Luck Dog Television.
We will be live streaming (to https://amateurlongdrive.com & http://Facebook.com/AmateurLongDrive) both days (Friday the 25th and Saturday the 26th).
The event will consist of: Qualifying Rounds | Competition Rounds | Championship Rounds | Open World Championship Rounds
Here’s how the schedule looks as of today:
Friday August 25th
9 AM – 11 AM – ParaLong Drive Practice and ALDC Open Qualifying
1 PM – 5 PM – ParaLong Drive Competition Rounds
7 PM – 9 PM – Pizza Party Legends Clubhouse
Saturday August 26th
8 AM – 8:30 AM – Last Chance to Qualify for ALDC
9 AM – Noon ALDC Competition Rounds
Noon – 4:00 PM ALDC and ParaLong Drive Championship Rounds
4:30 PM – 4:50 PM Open World Championship Eliminations.
5 PM – 6 PM – ALD Open World Championship
During the Championship Rounds will crown Amateur World Champions and ParaLong Drive Champions in each division.
The Open ‘World Championship is a showdown between the top ParaLong Drive and Amateur Long Drive™ competitors. We will take the top 4 Amateurs and top 4 ParaLong Drive hitters into and elimination round. From the elimination we’ll determine the top Amateur and top ParaLong Drive hitter into the finals.
Clarification: The ParaLong Drive guidelines allow for professional long drive competitors. The ALDC guidelines do not. ParaLong Drive competitors with professional status will not be eligible to compete in the Open.
