The first official event in the newly launched ULD™ Championship Series, and the first event of the 2018 / 2019 season was held Saturday September 29, 2018 at Pebblebrook Golf Course in Sandy, Utah. Hitters battled a stiff (30 mph) head/cross wind in the efforts to find grid that was set up on a par 5 hole.

This event had three ULD™ regulars competing along side some newcomers. Two time ULD™ Senior Male Division World Champion and 2017 Open World Champ, Mark Lawrence went 386 to top the Senior Male division and the field. Thomas Chatto drove all the way from New Mexico for the second time in less than 4 months to compete. Thomas hit a very respectable drive of 306 to finish second in the Senior Male Division. Thomas also competed in the 2018 World Championship in Myrtle Beach back in August.

Adult Male hitter, Kurt Pleger redeemed himself from a “less than impressive” finish in the June 1st Salt Lake City Qualifier by edging out ULD™ newcomer, Kyle Anderson. Pleger went 327 to top Anderson’s 326 longest. We’ve agreed to never reveal Pleger’s embarrassing SLC longest in competition. Your secret is safe with us, Kurt….for now.

ULD™ newcomers Super Senior Male Pat Johnson and Super Senior Female Jamie Zayach went 291 and 197 respectively to give the Super’s something to shoot for this season.  Youth Male hitter…and three time veteran ULD™ competitor, Josh Mielke went 168 for his longest of he day.
